"We are quite proud that we were one of the first to link PRO.FILE with ERP."
After a while, steady growth forced Marvu food processing equipment to switch from a central to a decentralized organizational structure. Automation was a very useful tool for this, says managing director and founder-owner Marc Vulders. "We were the first to create the link between PRO.FILE and Ridder iQ. That saves us over sixty hours a week, especially in work preparation."
About the implementation of PRO.FILE and its purpose
In concrete terms, this meant that Marvu was going to implement an ERP system (first Ridder R8, later Ridder iQ) in addition to a previously purchased CAD package (SolidWorks). This was followed by the integration of PRO.FILE with ERP. All relevant data required to monitor and manage the development and manufacturing processes in real time is available and makes it possible to work considerably faster and more cost-efficiently. PRO.FILE enables Marvu to develop standards and single-source modular solutions and to provide insight into version management and thus to work with a configure-to-order (CTO) strategy.
