Naivety predominates when protecting corporate data

This week I was a guest at the DISCA Talk show organized by Link Magazine. Incidentally, well designed with a lively discussion. During the talk show, the topic security was discussed and the ease with which the average hacker is able to hack IT systems. It is clear that securing IT systems at the front door is a must. Finally, the availability and reliability of IT systems are crucial for a company.

Is with that, the important company data secured?

Unauthorized access, corporate espionage, sabotage and theft is a disaster that doesn't just come from outside. Research shows that a lot of important business documents go through the back door
and end up in the bag or email of (ex) employees at the competitor. No virus scanner or firewall will help here!

"Then why is management and security of data so neglected?"

Most important working capital is knowledge

The data and knowledge about the products, production techniques and systems are the most important capital of a company in this 4th industrial revolution. In this Knowledge Based Capital (KBC), the capital lies in employees and IP (Intellectual Properties) is recorded in data and documents.

Taking data management seriously

Securing and protecting product data and knowledge is not a luxury. Rather a necessity. Industry-specialized systems make data management accessible to SMEs as well. DMStec is the label for such a system. Systems with DMStec offer the structure and technical functions required for the management and accessibility of technical data. Pay attention to the authorization options, not only at user level, but also based on roles in projects. Encryption technology on documents is also important.
