In effectively 4 weeks, PRO.FILE was introduced as Product Data Backbone for the engineering department. The engineering department has switched to SolidWorks, 3D mechanical CAD system, for new projects and now has version / revision management, the management of product structures and parts lists at its disposal. Approval and release processes are also covered with the workflow functionality of PRO.FILE. A basic product classification has been put into use that will be further expanded and deepened in a subsequent phase.
